SHURUGWI – Midlands businesswoman Smelly Dube has donated food worth RTGS 10 000 to Shurugwi District Hospital.She also went about feeding patients in the wards as part of her company’s corporate social responsibility.  Saturday March 9, 2019 was a day to remember for the patients.

Dube promised to come back and donate medicine to the hospital through her pharmacies. Her employees took the opportunity to clean up the hospital.

Dube said that her husband comes from Shurugwi and as such it makes her a Shurugwi person.“My husband is from Shurugwi and that automatically makes me a Shurugwi person.  I have to help my community as much as I can, this donation to the hospital is the first of many more to come. I will be coming with my team every quarter to donate foodstuffs to the hospital to help patients” said Dube.

District Medical Officer Muchandiwana Nyachowe said that the donation by Dube will go a long way in helping the institution as they were operating on a tight budget.

Shurugwi district administrator Langton Mupeta said that what Dube has done was very good and others should emulate her
