Brendon Taylor has made a dogged half century as Zimbabwe try and avoid the possibility of following on in the second Test against Bangladesh.
Brendon Taylor has scored a defiant 59 and shared an unbeaten 64-run stand with Peter Moor to lift Zimbabwe to 5-195 at tea on day three of the second cricket Test against Bangladesh.
The hosts were still in the box seat in Dhaka on Tuesday as Zimbabwe still needed 128 to avoid the follow-on after Bangladesh amassed 7(dec)-522.
Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam took four wickets, including Sean Williams and Sikandar Raja in quick succession after the lunch interval, before Taylor and Moor rallied.
Taylor posted his half century while Moor was six runs shy of the milestone heading into the final session.
Opener Brian Chari, who made 53, was the mainstay of the top order after Zimbabwe resumed at 1-25.
